How It Works

Two electric probes are activated during the brine draw cycle. An electric current runs between the probes, separating the salt compound (NaCl) into chlorine (Cl) and sodium (Na). 

The amount of chlorine produced can be adjusted to fit the needs of the system. This is accomplished by increasing or reducing power (amperage) to the electric probes. More chlorine is produced by generating more power and less chlorine is produced with less power. The settings are based on the factory specifications of the unit, so homeowners don't need to worry about adjusting the amperage on the device.
